I made another quilt
I can't remember how I learned about it but there is a business in Utah called Hello Cottons that started Wrap Ukraine with Quilts drive. They collect new or gently used small homemade quilts and distribute them to Ukrainian refugees, especially those who are bereft of all home comforts. I realized I had all the elements to make a quick quilt out of items in my stash so I whipped this jellyroll quilt up in a weekend. The top is from two jellyrolls I bought on clearance once upon a time, the back was a crib quilt batting I found one clearance once upon a different time, the backing was yardage left over from a different project, and the quilting thread was left over from the memory quilts. I took the opportunity to try my hand at free-motion quilting. I've only done it on very small scale before so this was a fun experiment and I'm happy with the results.
